Try This Super, Simple Peace Mantra Meditation

With each breath cycle, in your mind, repeat:

Inhale: “I am”

Exhale: “Peace”

Check out these brilliant ideas from Awakening to the Sacred by Lama Surya Das:

Plant a tree. The Buddha exhorted his monks to plant at least one tree every year to repay the earth for its abundance.

Make peace with yourself by grounding yourself and giving yourself permission to rest. Rest is sacred.

Make peace with the Divine by connecting to your inner goodness or by saying a prayer.

Work for peace in every possible way, every day. Gentle yourself and be peace.

Help a life; help a soul. The Talmud says that to save one life is to save the whole world.

In an essay titled, “Hope, Despair and Memory,” Nobel Peace Prize winner Elie Wiesel wrote, “Mankind must remember that peace is not God’s gift to his creatures, it is our gift to each other. Thich Nhat Hanh says: “Be peace, don’t just talk about it.”
